Safety & compliance
Lumora sells electrical lighting for use in the United States. Please read and follow the instructions included with every product. The guidance below applies across the range. Individual product pages carry the specific ratings for that item.
Electrical safety (US, 120V)
- All mains-powered products are designed for standard US 120V AC outlets and the US plug standard. Do not use adapters or converters that change the supplied voltage.
- Inspect cables, plugs and housings before each use. Do not use any product with a damaged cable, plug, or housing.
- Do not cut, splice, or modify wiring, plugs, or transformers. Do not overload outlets or daisy-chain more units than the product instructions allow.
- For any product used outdoors or in a damp location, plug into a GFCI-protected outlet and keep connections off the ground and out of standing water.
- Unplug before installing, cleaning, or servicing, and when leaving the product unattended for long periods.
Indoor / outdoor use and weather rating
- Use each product only in the environment it is rated for. Indoor-only products must not be used outdoors.
- Outdoor-rated products list an IP (ingress protection) rating on their product page. The IP rating describes resistance to dust and water; it does not make a product suitable for submersion unless the page states so.
Children, pets and small parts
- These are not toys. Keep products, packaging, remotes, and any small parts or button-cell batteries away from children under 3 and pets. Swallowed button-cell batteries can cause serious injury.
- Adult assembly and installation is required. Supervise children around installed lighting and trailing cables.
Heat, fire and general use
- Do not cover products while in use or place them against flammable materials such as fabric, paper, or dry foliage.
- Use only the power supply, transformer, or battery type specified for the product. Do not mix old and new batteries or different battery types.
- Follow the stated maximum run lengths, connection limits, and any timer or duty-cycle guidance in the instructions.
California Proposition 65 warning
WARNING: These products can expose you to chemicals including lead, which is known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. For more information go to www.P65Warnings.ca.gov.
Regulatory
Products are intended to meet the applicable US requirements for their category, including FCC Part 15 for electronic emissions where relevant. Always operate the product as described in its included documentation. If a product does not perform as described or appears damaged on arrival, stop using it and contact us.
